The Trek Farley 7 is a burly fat bike with a voracious appetite for snowy and icy trails. The Farley is a thoroughbred fat bike that rolls on meaty 27.5 x 4.5-inch tires and comes with a suspension fork and a dropper post. This bike is comfortable in many situations ranging from pounding out miles on groomed trails to singletracks and even a little dirt. The geometry is comfortable on both the climbs and the descents, and the front suspension and dropper post seriously enhance its downhill performance. The Farley is the most capable descender we tested, even when the snow runs out or the terrain gets a little steep and rough. It’s no trail bike, mind you, though it performs far better than the rigid competition on chunky trails. This versatile ride comes nicely equipped, and we feel it represents a solid value.
